Profile of an “Au Pair” girl

Application form au pair girl Any girl wishing to become an "Au pair" should be :

  • SERIOUS
  • RESPONSIBLE
  • ENTHUSIASTIC

Some questions to ask your-self :

  • Will I be able to put up with the children throughout my stay ?
  • Am I capable of living without my parents, my brothers and sisters, my friends, etc?
  • Do I usualy help out at home ?
  • Am I capable of using my own initiative?
  • Will I be able to adapt to a different way of life, culture…?
  • Am I capable of adapting to a different lifestyle and food ?

For better integration and communication with the family, it’s important that the au pair can speak the language of the country where she wants to go, or at least have sufficient knowledge to communicate with the family.

During your free time as an Au Pair, you’ll be able to attend language lessons and improve your language skills.
To participate in the program and live abroad as an “Au pair”, you have to be 17 to 26 years old. If you are under 18 you must have authorization from your parents.

Typical week for an "Au Pair"

The contracts offered by « Mag’ Au Pair » consist of 30h/35h of work per week distributed in 5 or 6 days.
However, you could be asked to make 2 nights per week of baby-sitting.

Your pocket money

The amount of your pay will depend of the country where you will be au pair. In general the amount is around 60€ per week (i.e. 240 € per month). And the family will provide you with full-board accommodation.

The exact amount will be agreed directly between you and the family before your arrival

What are your rights as an "Au Pair" ?

You will have enough time to attend language lessons and to improve your cultural and professional experience.

As an “Au Pair” you will have a minimum of one day off per week. At least one of these days off must be a Sunday.

In exchange for your work, the family will provide you with full-board accommodation and pocket money per week, in which the amount will be agreed on between you and your host family before your arrival.

What are your duties ?

As an “Au pair”, you will have to look after the children, i.e. playing with them, taking them to and from school, teach them your tongue, taking them to the park or helping them with their homework, etc...

You must also help the family with domestic chores: setting the table, washing up, mopping, dusting, keeping your room and the children’s room tidy and respecting the conditions of the house.

We always check that there is not any excess form the family !

The Au pair must be aware that being an “Au Pair” is not being on holiday, or a tourist stay. Therefore, you will be like another member of the family and will have responsibilities and duties. It is important that you show flexibility, autonomy and tolerance towards the family values and lifestyle.

Cost of service

ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURE AND ADVISE :

  • Search of a family via our date base
  • Presentation of the family via a telephonic or video conference interview
  • Advises about the organisation of the trip (low-cost company, …)

ONCE IN THE COUNTRY :

  • At your arrival the family will go to fetch you
  • Weekly meetings with the au pair and the family
  • You will be changed of family in case of incompatibility with the family or in case of serious fault from her

FOR A PERIOD :

  • Up to 3 months 129 €
  • Between 3 and 6 months 149 €
  • Between 6 and 9 months 179 €
  • Over 9 months 199 €

PAYMENT :

  • Sending of the bill when you receive your complete file
  • The payment will be made only via PAYMENT TRANSFER and NOT via CHECK to :
